Reservation category and roster disputes in recruitment
A reservation or roster dispute requires the current rules, recruitment notice, category claim and actual allocation record. Category eligibility, roster operation and merit placement are separate questions; a certificate alone does not explain every disputed selection.
What to examine
Identify the category and relevant date, vacancies, horizontal or other applicable reservations and any correction process. Preserve the category asserted in the original application and later changes. Avoid applying a general national description to a J&K recruitment without checking the governing rules and amendments.
Records to collect
- Advertisement and vacancy breakup
- category certificate and dates
- application
- selection and roster information
Keep complete, dated copies and preserve originals. Note which records are missing and where they may be requested; do not alter a document to fill a gap in the history.
The applicable framework
For J&K employment matters, identify the governing service or recruitment rules and amendments before applying a general principle. CAT coverage depends on the employer and subject matter, while territorial allocation is a separate question. The High Court copy of the CCA Rules is a starting text for covered matters, not proof that every employee or issue falls under those Rules.
A practical next step
State whether the challenge concerns eligibility, allocation or placement. Obtain the particular rules and record before alleging a roster violation.
